Welcome to The Center for Courageous Kids®

The Center for Courageous Kids, also known as CCK, is a world class medical camp located in Scottsville, KY, serving children and families from across the country who are living with a variety of medical challenges.  We are open year round and can host 120 kids at a time. When you add our counselors, volunteers, trained Programs and Medical staff, our mascot, Dr. Cubby the Courageous Lion, and our top notch facility, you start to see just how "We Prescribe Fun!"

What makes The Center for Courageous Kids spectacular?

*We are a 20 million dollar facility.

*Our 168 acre campus encompasses an onsite medical center with helipad, indoor aquatic complex, equestrian riding arena, bowling alley, gymnasium, climbing wall, boating and fishing, dining hall, theater, four camper lodges, and so much more!

*We have a program and medical staff who are trained and experienced in all aspects of medical camping.

*Having met over 300 health, safety, and program quality standards, we are accredited by the American Camp Association.

The Center for Courageous Kids is one of just a handful of medical  camps of this caliber nationwide.  What makes CCK so unique?

*Caring for a medically fragile child is expensive and financially draining on families. We provide an once in a lifetime camping experience at no cost to the camper or family.

*To date, we have served over 70 unique and rare diagnoses.

*We have served 10,000 campers from 32 states and Canada.

*Annually, we welcome hundreds of volunteers from across the globe.

*Operating year-round, we offer two distinct programs at CCK. Weekend retreats for the ill child with their immediate family members, and summer camping sessions for the ill child only.

People often ask us, "How can we help?" There are many ways you can help us continue our mission to uplift children who have life-threatening illnesses.

*CCK operates solely on donations. We are not government funded. Our donors are individuals, businesses, corporations and foundations with a heart for the medically fragile children we serve.  All donations, 365 days a year, are needed and appreciated.

*Make an online contribution by going to our "donate now" page.

*Join our monthly giving campaign, the "Twenty Twelve" Club. By making a small monthly donation of just $20.12, you will be making a huge difference in the life of a medically fragile child.

*Make a gift in honor or in memory of a friend or loved one.

*Name a bed ($1,000) (naming opportunity--plaque on bed)

*Help sponsor a camper ($1,000) (naming opportunity--plaque on donor wall)

*Full camper sponsorship ($2,000) (naming opportunity--plaque on donor wall)
